Formed in July 2010 when father and son Michael & Brett Neale joined forces to start a small and dynamic family company in Fremantle, Western Australia. Today, the company still has a strong family focus - employing four family members in their operations - and is well known for their friendly service, knowledge and expertise – not just in the Western Australian marine industry, but Australia-wide.
Owner and company founder Michael Neale has been in the industry for over 45 years; starting his training as a communications technician in 1971, he then transitioned into the Marine Electronics industry which encompassed servicing fishing fleets and shipping vessels across the Northern Territory, Western Australia and South Australia. Mike has seen many changes in electronics over this period; his ability to adapt and keep up to date with new and exciting products has ensured his longevity and success in the industry. Mike has excellent field skills, and is known for his ability to ‘think on his feet’.
Brett has been in the industry for over 20 years; starting with two diplomas: Diploma of Computer Systems Engineering and a Diploma of Hardware Engineering, then gaining his apprenticeship in 2003 with a local company “Global Marine Electronics”. Brett has a strong background in computer based systems and is the go-to man for sea-bed mapping software, programming and hardware issues. Bretts' involvement with JRC High Seas field involved Phone support contact for Australia from 2004 to 2007.
Both Mike and Brett hold factory training accreditations with Furuno, JRC, Samsung and other software and hardware vendors. They have firm relationships with vendors in Japan, South Korea, and Norway – regularly hosting company representatives when they visit Australia.
Fremantle Marine Electronics are proud of their reputation in the marine industry and are constantly striving to provide the highest quality products and stand-out service to the industry.
